Medical Library Events and Updates

Wolter’s Kluwer (WK) / OVID Demo – WK/OVID representatives will demonstrate the OVID discovery service that powers the library homepage and will assist patrons in personalizing their homepage to save searches, mark resources as favorites, and more when they visit the library 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday, April 14. They will have swag and giveaways while supplies last.  

WOW Work Area – Patrons can now park / plug in their Workstation on Wheels (WOWs) and use special adjustable chairs to work at the devices at the library. The WOW workspace is in the room to the left upon entering the library, in front of the windows overlooking the renovated lower-level courtyard.  

Library Access - Medical Center employees and contracted RUHS employees with a badge can visit the Medical Library 24/7. The library, located in room E2056, can be accessed through a badge swipe.    

Employees whose badge is not working can visit the Key Shop in room F0063 on the lower level of the Medical Center to get access. Please call the Key Shop ahead of time at (951) 486-4139 to make sure staff are available.    

Resource Trial - The library is considering adding The Washington Manual to its collection and is offering this resource to staff during a trial which ends Sunday, April 14, 2024. The manual can be accessed by visiting this link.
