RUHS’ Care for the Caregiver program

RUHS’ Care for the Caregiver program is looking for members of the RUHS team willing to lend a helping hand by providing emotional first aid to their peers in times of crisis.

Care for the Caregiver, part of the larger RUHS Cares program, has staff act as peer support partners. They connect with their peers to offer care, comfort and emotional support following an adverse, harmful or traumatic event.

Peer support partners receive extra training on how to provide aid. Any staff member can participate in the program, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and physical therapists.
