2024 Display and Exhibit Contest

RUHS Medical Center employees, including residents, nurses, providers and ancillary staff are invited to share exciting developments in their field as part of the 2024 Display and Exhibit Contest planned from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Medical Center.  

Employees may showcase such topics as healthcare case studies, food and drug research, new technologies, exciting advances in patient care and processes implemented to improve patient care workflows. Some of the accepted formats for displaying this information include trifold displays, poster/easel displays, or presentations from a laptop or monitor. All displays must include a credible reference page.  

Participants will have the chance to win a prize. All entries must be received by Tuesday, Aug. 20.

Splish Splash Water Safety Event

The Splish Splash event is FREE to the public and takes place from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. June 29 at the Cutter Pool at Riverside City College, 4800 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside.

Sponsored by the Vivian Stancil Foundation, the event includes water safety demos, a water aerobics class, vendors, games and food. Non-swimmers and those with disabilities are especially welcome.

Blood Drive

Help save lives by donating blood! LifeStream Blood Bank will be drawing blood from donors from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Medical Center.

RUHS staff who want to promote heart health, get some exercise and support a great cause can join the RUHS – Public Health team for the 2024 Inland Empire Heart and Stroke Walk in Jurupa Valley.

RUHS ED and Specialty Teams Conference

Registration is now open for the RUHS Emergency Department and Specialty Teams Conference on Friday, April 26, from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Moreno Valley Conference Center.

Open to all staff, this conference provides continuing education of emergency services to EMS, Fire, Police Hospital Staff, RNs, and Physicians.

Denim Day

The Foundation invites staff to participate in Denim Day at the Medical Center campus from 1 – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24. Denim Day takes place on the last Wednesday of April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. People are encouraged to wear denim to combat victim blaming and educate others about sexual violence during this day of awareness and action. During the same event, participants can sponsor a pinwheel to be planted in the stairwell planters adjacent to the Marion and Mary Ashley Education and Conference Center. This gesture honors children who have experienced abuse and neglect and symbolizes our commitment to their protection and well-being. More information here
