Dr. Tomás Aragón Visits

We had the pleasure of welcoming #CDPH Director and State Public Health Officer, Dr. Tomás Aragón, to Riverside University Health System – Public Health to meet with staff at the HAB.

While he was here, we had the opportunity to showcase our Community Health Worker (CHW) hub, a newer program where dedicated staff serve as a vital link between the public and health services within #RiversideCounty to promote health among individuals, families, and groups including those who lack access to adequate care, are underserved, and in at-risk populations.

We also discussed at length what it means to be a learning organization, and how one of our strategic goals is improving the department’s operational efficiency by building a continuous improvement culture and empowering staff in their daily roles.
