RUHS- Behavioral Health Family Advocate Program Participates in Annual NAMI Walks
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) held its annual fundraiser in Hemet on Saturday, Nov. 4. Participating with NAMI was the RUHS- Behavioral Health Family Advocate Program. The Family Advocate program works closely with NAMI to provide resources, information, and training to the families of Riverside County.
NAMI Walks is an annual community fundraising event organized by NAMI to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health needs. The event is a wonderful opportunity for families to unite in a secure, inclusive environment and participate in a meaningful community experience. The funds raised through these events, donations, and sponsorships, allow NAMI to continue providing free advocacy efforts and behavioral health educational classes to the community. These resources go toward developing and delivering informative lectures, workshops, and training programs that help people better understand and cope with mental health challenges. With your support, we can make a meaningful impact and improve the lives of those in need.
